SEMARANG - There are interesting facts found by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, when accompanying Vice President Ma'ruf Amin on a working visit to his area. It turned out that the fact that public visits to the Melayanan Publik Mall (MPP) were still low.

The series of working visits by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in Central Java, ended by reviewing the Semarang City Public Service Mall on the 2nd Floor of Mangkang Terminal, Tuesday, April 4. Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo accompanied him during the visit.

Ganjar Pranowo said that he found special findings when accompanying the Vice President. Namely the low level of community visits at the Semarang City MPP.

"There are two indicators. The first indicator has not been socialized, the second indicator is that people in Semarang City who use public service malls understand very well about digital use," said Ganjar after Vice President Ma'ruf left for Jakarta.

Ganjar said, if the existence of MPP in Semarang City is not very efficient, it will be pushed towards digitalization.

"This means that in the future, the city of Semarang will be much faster in the digitalization process. So that everyone can see from the equipment and gadgets they have are much faster," he said.

The former member of the DPR RI said that this condition was actually in accordance with the MPP Digital discourse conveyed by KemenPAN-RB.

"This is what the Minister of Administrative Affairs said to all of us that the next process is not only the Public Service Mall, but definitely digital which must be internalized in the existing system," he said.

Apart from that, Ganjar expressed his appreciation for the account for Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to Central Java Province.

Meanwhile, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in a press conference hoped that the MPP target in all regencies and cities could be realized.

"And this morning I also saw MPP in order to facilitate the services we are targeting in 2024 all city districts already have MPP, this is all in the context of accelerating it," said the Vice President.

For information, the Semarang City MPP began operating at the end of 2022. The inauguration of the Semarang MPP was carried out directly by Vice President Ma'ruf, simultaneously with 25 other MPPs, on December 5, 2022.

Earlier on Monday, April 3, Ganjar Pranowo accompanied the Vice President to also inaugurate the Opening of Central Java Halal Fair (JHF) 2023 and witness the Inauguration of the Regional Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KDEKS) in the Aloon-Aloon area of the Great Mosque of Semarang.
