When Other Residents Return To Tarawih Prayers, This Man Instead Gets Drunk While Bringing Sickles

TANGERANG - A man with the initials MN (36) was arrested in a drunken state on Jalan Raya Tanjung Pasir, Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency. He was arrested on suspicion of carrying a sharp weapon (sajam) type sickle and was affected by alcohol.

Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho said the incident occurred on Wednesday, March 29, at 21.30 WIB.

Zain explained that the incident started when the perpetrator and his friends had a liquor party (alcohol) when it was time for residents to return to Tarawih prayers. This has also become a commotion for residents, so they report to the Teluknaga Police.

The police, who received the report, immediately went to the crime scene (TKP). Arriving at the location, the police found a sharp weapon owned by MN.

"One sharp weapon (sajam) type sickle from the hands of the perpetrators," said Zain in his statement, Friday, March 31.

Upon this discovery, the police took MN to the Teluknaga Police. This was taken further action.

"Currently the perpetrator has been taken to the Polsek (Poluknaga), questioned, we suspect it with Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951," said Zain.
