"Until finally when the car passed on Jalan Overste Isdiman which entered the Purwokerto Lor Village area, East Purwokerto District, officers immediately stopped the vehicle," said Kasatreskrim explaining.

Furthermore, he said, officers checked and found two men along with a number of firecrackers in the Carry car.

According to him, the two men suspected of distributing firecrackers had the initials ES (27) and DA (28) with the address in Sidodicti Village, Weleri District, Kendal Regency, Central Java.

He said the firecrackers carried by the Carry car consisted of firecrackers with a length of 3 meters as many as 70 matengs each containing 50 pills and firecrackers with a length of 5 meters as much as 50 sets each containing 70 pills.

"Overall there were 7,000 firecrackers. Furthermore, the Carry car with license plate number AA-1392-IG along with the firecrackers it was carrying was secured to the Banyumas Police Satreskrim Office as evidence," he said.

He said based on the results of the examination, the firecrackers were obtained by the perpetrators from Weleri District, Kendal Regency, and will then be circulated in the Purwokerto area.

For this action, he said, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 1 of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 with the threat of a sentence of 12 years in prison.
