National Police Investigates The Origin Of Firearms Owned By Rizieq Shihab's Special Forces

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters will investigate the origin of the firearms (senpi) used by several members of the Special Laskar, followers of Rizieq Shihab, when carrying out the attack. The police said that not just anyone could have a firearm.

"It's clear, of course, it will be investigated further," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, to reporters, Monday, December 7.

Not only about the ownership of senpi, the police will also explore the motives behind the attack. The deepening will be carried out in an attempt to arrest the four escaped Special Troops.

If the four people are caught, the motive for the attack will be revealed. Bareskrim Polri has now deployed a team to hunt them down.

"Investigators were carried out related to senpi, there were four who escaped. Why did he shoot the police, who were clearly being processed, whose names were civilians?

Six special Laskar supporters of Rizieq Shihab were shot dead by the police for attacking members.

Laskar's firm action by police began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for examining Rizieq Shihab. This is because the police received information that there would be a mass mobilization.

But when members of the Polda Metro Jaya followed the Special Laskar vehicle, precisely on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road, they suddenly came under attack.

The police said that two cars driven by the Special Army stopped the officers' car. Then they attacked the members' car using firearms and sharp weapons.
