FPI Claims 6 Special Forces Are Kidnapped By Unknown People

JAKARTA - The death of 6 Special Troops supporting Rizieq Shihab at the hands of the police caused a polemic. This is because the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) said that six people from the Special Army were kidnapped by unknown people. They were kidnapped while escorting Rizieq Shihab's family group.

"It is true that there was an ambush incident, the shooting of the HRS IB group and their families and the kidnapping of 6 IB guards," said Aziz in his statement, Monday, December 7.

Aziz said the shooting and kidnapping incident took place near the East Karawang toll gate. At that time, Rizieq and his family were on their way to the recitation place but suddenly were stopped by an unknown person.

"The OTK thugs who were in charge of the operation intercepted and fired shots at the family guard troops," he said.

The group of unknown people opened fire on Rizieq Shihab's car. They even kidnapped six Special Troops. Until now, their whereabouts are unknown.

"Until now, the barriers have successfully carried out the shooting and 1 car containing 6 soldiers is still missing and kidnapped by OTK thugs on duty," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran, said that 10 people from the Special Laskar, supporters of Rizieq Shihab, attacked police officers on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road. Six people were shot dead, 4 other special laskars fled.

"Four (members of the Laskar Special) fled," said Inspector General Fadil to reporters, Monday, December 7.

But Inspector General Fadil did not explain in detail how the four special forces, Rizieq Shihab, escaped. He only said that no police officer was injured when he was attacked by Rizieq Shihab's special army. The special army shot a police car.

"The loss suffered by the officers was a vehicle that was damaged due to being intercepted and hit by gunfire," he said

With this incident, Inspector General Fadil appealed to Rizieq Shihab and his followers not to obstruct the process of investigating cases of suspected health protocol violations. The police chief emphasized that efforts to obstruct the legal process could be charged with criminal charges.

"I and the Pangdam appeal to the MRS and its followers not to obstruct the investigation process because this action violates the law and can be punished," he said.

As previously reported, six Special Forces supporters of Rizieq Shihab were shot dead by the police. They were shot for attacking police officers.

"The MRS group (Muhammad Rizieq Shihab) who attacked the members took firm action and died 6 people," said Inspector General Fadil.

Fadil said that the firm action against the six Special Forces began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for examining Rizieq Shihab. The police received information that there would be a mass mobilization.

But when members of the Polda Metro Jaya followed the Special Laskar vehicle, precisely on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road they suddenly came under attack.

"When PMJ members followed vehicles suspected of being MRS followers, the officers' vehicles were intercepted and then attacked using firearms and sharp weapons," said Fadil.
