Sleepy Driver And Hit A Truck On The Madiun-Nganjuk Toll Road, 3 People Died

JAKARTA - Three people died as a result of an accident with an elf minibus with police number DK-8725-GV with a truck loaded with a sponge at KM 631 A, Madiun-Nganjuk Toll Road heading to Surabaya, Thursday, December 3, at around 05.30 WIB.

"There are 14 elf passengers and one driver, so 15 people come from Pamekasan. Temporary information is that three people in the elf have died," said Head of PJR East Java Police, Kompol Dwi Sumrahadi when confirmed from Surabaya, reported by Antara.

Dwi said the cause of the accident was allegedly because the driver was sleepy. So that the elf couldn't keep the pace and crashed into the truck in front of him.

"As a result, the elf driver could not keep the speed and safe distance of the vehicle, so he hit the truck in front of him, which resulted in the truck rolled back and the elf vehicle continued to hit the concrete on the left side," he said.

In addition to the three victims who died, there were victims who suffered serious injuries and minor injuries.

Dwi explained that the truck driver named Muh. A Yudi Purwanto (29), a resident of Unggahan, Trowulan, Mojokerto suffered serious injuries with a broken right leg.

Meanwhile, the elf driver Mali from Pamekasan, Madura suffered minor injuries, namely bruises on his face.

"The other 10 passengers were declared safe. The passengers survived, wounds to death are now being taken to Nganjuk Hospital," he said.
