Attorney Pinangki's Regret Letter When Arrested: Please Pray For Me

JAKARTA - The younger brother of the prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari, Pungki Primarini, told that his brother had sent a letter to his son. It tells about Pinangki's condition, which at the same time asks for prayer.

The beginning of this story was conveyed by Pungki when the public prosecutor (JPU) asked a question about the investigation report (BAP). In the BAP it was written that Pinangki had expressed his regret to his family when he was arrested at Pakubuwono Signature's apartment.

Pinangki cried and said to Pungki 'I'm ok, love you, leave Papa, leave Bima'.

Even when he was detained at the Selemba branch of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung), Pinangki had time to send a letter containing a note of his needs in prison.

In the letter delivered an apology to his son. The letter was sent by Pinangki through his driver named Puji.

"Pinangki also sent a message to his son saying 'Mommy in jail bicause mommy made a mistake', is that right ?," said the prosecutor during the trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 30.

Pungki explained that the narrative that was actually written was not what the prosecutor said. The letter contained more of a request to his son to keep praying for him.

"Actually saying, 'Bima I'm sorry, mommy in jail, please pray for me'," answered Pungki.

Then, the prosecutor again asked what was actually written in the letter. Because Pungki's statement in the BAP and the testimony of the trial were different.

Pungki emphasized that the actual narrative written in the letter was in accordance with the statement conveyed in the trial.

"The truth is what I say now," said Pungki.

In this case, prosecutor Pinangki was charged with three counts, namely the first charge of receiving a bribe of US $ 500,000 (around Rp7.4 billion) from the convicted Bank Bali cessie case Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra.

Second, the money laundering charges originating from the receipt of bribes amounting to 444,900 dollars or around Rp6,219,380,900.00 as money given by Djoko Tjandra for the processing of a fatwa to the Supreme Court.

Third, Pinangki was charged with committing an evil conspiracy with Andi Irfan Jaya and Djoko Tjandra to bribe officials at the AGO and MA worth US $ 10 million.
