JAKARTA - The explicit image of the royal consort of Thailand, Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi is reportedly leaked. However, it is suspected that the leak occurred as part of a "power struggle" effort in the Thai royal family.
Quoting Mashable, Monday, November 30, Sineenat was previously sacked by the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn. He had to give up all his titles and privileges in just three months of receiving them. The punishment was obtained after Sineenat was found to be "unfaithful" and had the ambition to equal her status with Queen Suthida, the fourth wife of the king.
But a year later, King Vajiralongkorn returned all his titles and privileges back. The royal government of Thailand has not yet commented on the leaking of a photo of Sineenat's private collection.
A journalist named Andrew MacGregor Marshall, who specializes in Thai politics and affairs, admitted that he received a mysterious post containing 1,400 pictures from a smartphone belonging to Sineenat. On Twitter, he explained this and its relation to Thailand's political situation.
Marshall said the photos he saw were most likely from Sineenat's personal photo album. Marshall also explained that most of the sexual images were taken by Sineenat himself. The photo is thought to have been taken to be sent to King Vajiralongkorn.

According to Marshall, she received the photos after Sineenat was released from a women's prison in Bangkok. After leaving prison, Sineenat regained all of his titles and he left to join King Vajiralongkorn in Germany. Marshall did not reveal details about who provided the photos.
Not a new caseMarshall cites the internal power struggle as a compelling reason for how the photos of the empress were leaked. In his Twitter thread, Marshall pointed out that Sineenat's return was strongly opposed by the palace faction who pledged to support Queen Suthida. Marshall believes it is most likely a tactic to sabotage Sineenat's return as empress.
Something similar happened in 1996 when Vajiralongkorn, then a prince, expelled his second wife, Yuvathida Polpraserth. Not long after, Yuvathida's explicit photos were sent to the newspapers.
At that time Maha Vajiralongkorn also hung posters on the walls of his palace directly accusing Yuvathida Polpraserth of adultery, harassment and fraud. Yuvathida immediately fled to England with her five children.
Marshall refused to upload the photo of Sineenat which he received because it would be an "unjustified breach of privacy in terms of providing the public with significant and valuable new information."
He claims his intention is only to highlight the power struggle within the palace walls between the Queen and the empress.
