North Sumatra Regional Police Arrests Humiliator Who Uploads Edited Photo Of Megawati Carrying Jokowi On Facebook

MEDAN - Sub-Directorate V Cybercrime personnel from the Directorate of Criminal and Criminal Investigation of North Sumatra Regional Police arrested a man with the initials WP, a resident of Deli Serdang Regency. WP made an insult to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on social media.

WP was arrested for posting a profile photo of his Facebook social media account with a picture of Megawati Soekarnoputri holding President Jokowi, who is depicted as a baby.

"It is true, at this time the perpetrator has been secured for further processing," said the Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police, AKBP MP Nainggolan, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 26.

Nainggolan said the police also secured a number of evidence in the form of three cellphones, one for handcuffs and an ID card.

MP Nainggolan said the perpetrator was charged under Article 45 paragraph (3) JO Article 27 paragraph (3) RI Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia No 11 of 2008 concerning ITE and / or Article 310 of the Criminal Code JO Article 316 of the Criminal Code and / or Article 207 of the Criminal Code.

"Currently, the perpetrator is still being investigated to deepen it," he said.
