PDIP Does Not Know Its Cadres Are Staff Of Minister Edhy Prabowo

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P DPP Ahmad Basarah said that his party did not know if his cadre, Andreau Misanta Pribadi, was the staff of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo, who was caught in a hand-catching operation (OTT) related to the alleged bribery of fry.

Even so, he confirmed that Andreau was a PDIP cadre and had run in the 2019 Pileg. However, after becoming a failed candidate, Andreau was no longer active in the party.

"I know that Andreau has become an expert staff to Minister Eddy Prabowo who is Deputy Head of the Gerindra Party after the KPK OTT case occurred," said Basarah in a written statement to reporters, Thursday, November 26.

The deputy chairman of the MP also asked Andreau not to be linked with the PDIP. Because, his decision to become Edhy Prabowo's special staff was a personal choice not from the party.

"Because the existence of Andreau as an expert staff of the Minister of KKP is a personal decision, so all forms of behavior and actions have nothing to do with PDI-P," he said.

PDIP said it would impose sanctions on Andreau, who was also a suspect in accepting bribes. However, this sanction will only be given after Andreau is proven to have been involved in the alleged bribery that ensnared Edhy.

"Of course, strict sanctions will be given," he said.

Previously reported, after being caught in the hand-catching operation (OTT), Edhy Prabowo was named an official suspect wearing an orange vest. He and five other Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) officials were named as suspects in the fry export permit case.

The five people are staff members of the Minister of KP Safri (SAF) and Andreau Pribadi Misanta (APM); management of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK) Siswadi (SWD); staff wife of the Minister of KP Ainul Faqih, and Amiril Mukminin (AM).

Meanwhile, the suspect who gave the bribe was the Director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (PT DPPP) Suharjito (SJT).

Next, after being named a suspect, Edhy and other parties will be detained at the KPK Detention Center, the Red and White Building, KPK for the next 20 days from November 25 to December 14.

Meanwhile, two other people, Andreau and Amiril, have not been arrested and were asked by the KPK to immediately surrender.

However, on Thursday, November 26 at around 12.00 WIB, the two fugitives had submitted themselves to the KPK in a cooperative manner.

Andreau and Amiril are currently undergoing intensive investigations by KPK investigators.

"After undergoing questioning, investigators will forcefully detain the two suspects following the five other suspects following their arrest on Wednesday morning yesterday," said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri.
