Ferdinand Hutahaean Resign, Democrat: Thank You

JAKARTA - Head of the Democratic Party's Strategic Communication Agency, Ossy Dermawan, said that his party had received a resignation letter from Ferdinand Hutahaean as of Monday, October 12.

Ferdinan, who previously served as Head of the Bureau of Energy and Mineral Resources, Department VII of the Democratic Party's DPP, resigned after feeling that there were differences in views with the party made by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.

"In the letter, Brother Ferdinand Hutahaean stated that he was resigning as a committee member and at the same time as a cadre of the Democratic Party," said Ossy in a written statement to reporters quoted on Monday, October 12.

Furthermore, party officials will continue the administrative process of resignation in accordance with the internal mechanism.

"The Democratic Party would like to thank him for his dedication and togetherness for approximately four years. Hopefully Brother Ferdinand Hutahaean will be successful in carrying out his activities in this new field of service for the country and the nation," he said.

It is known, Ferdinand announced his resignation from his party via his Twitter account @ FerdinandHaean3 on Sunday, October 11.

"So even now, I will leave the Democratic Party because of political principles and beliefs, the national political path that I believe regardless of whether I am wrong or right with the principles I believe in. I decided to leave and will resign," he wrote in his Twitter account.

Subsequently, he delivered his resignation letter and this was tweeted back on his Twitter account.

"My resignation letter which I submit today to the DPP Democrat Party. Thank you the Democratic Party, thank you Pak SBY, Mas AHY, Mas Ibas, and all cadres. Sorry if I have a mistake and to cadres throughout Indonesia, my message is to love Indonesia. with heart, "he said.
