Menekraf Invites Discussion Promoters Regarding The Issue Of Concert Implementation

JAKARTA - Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya revealed his intention to help solve problems related to a number of challenges faced in holding concerts in Indonesia. He invited promoters and other related parties to discuss.

"We want to hear directly from fellow promoters, the time is being set. We also don't only hear but in the future we want to find a solution so that we accompanied bad incidents before, we facilitated, we looked for solutions together," Riefky said, quoting ANTARA on December 17.

He realized that currently holding a number of concerts in Indonesia were still experiencing obstacles and challenges.

Therefore, Teuku stated that the government is ready to contribute to helping resolve these obstacles considering that music events are one of the important sub-sectors of the creative economy and contribute to the country's economy.

"Hopefully the government can be present to find a joint solution because this is also an important sub-sector," he said.

In this case, Teuku does not only focus on major promoters at the national level but also promoters from regions who are considered to need support and facilitation.

"We are not only talking about big events, problems handled by regional promoters, provinces, regencies and cities when they travel around, we need to help too," he said.

It is known that the Deputy for Tourism Products and Activities Organizers (Events) of the Ministry of Tourism Vinsensius Jemadu asked all national music promoters to optimize preparations related to the safety facilities supporting concerts in the future, in the aftermath of the cancellation of the Dua Lipa concert in Jakarta which was supposed to be held on November 9.

"Security and safety must be a top priority in every event, including concerts. This is in line with international standards and is also important to ensure the comfort of all parties involved, including spectators, artists, and workers in the show sector," Vinsensius said.

His party will also be committed to providing assistance to event actors, especially in organizing music events so that they can develop a quality music concert ecosystem in the country.

He explained that the assistance was aimed at encouraging the improvement of the quality of organizing concerts, facilities, and supporting infrastructure, to the readiness of human resources in improving the reputation of organizing international performance performances.
