JAKARTA - Indian musician Zakir Hussain died at the age of 73. The tabla maestro died of lung disease, idioptic lung fibrosis (IPF), at a hospital in San Francisco, United States (US) on December 15.
The four-time departure of the Grammy winner is a sorrow for many musicians who know him. Not only international musicians, several Indonesian musicians also expressed their condolences.
Virtuoso guitar, John McLaughlin via Instagram shared a photo of his togetherness with Hussain, whom he described as one of the greatest musicians and figures India has ever produced.

Two Indonesian musicians, Dewa Budjana and Indra Lesmana, also expressed their condolences through Instagram uploads.
"Rest in Love Ustad Zakir Hussain," wrote Dewa Budjana, showing a photo when meeting the maestro.
"Rest in Love Ustad. You are one of my musical inspirations," said Indra Lesmana via Instagram Story.
