Chester Bennington's Mother Feels Betrayed By Linkin Park: They Want To Remove The Past

JAKARTA - Not everyone is happy with Linkin Park's comeback with a new vocalist. One of the oppositions actually came from the family of the late Chester Bennington.

Some time Chester's eldest son, Jaime, vocally voiced his objections to Linkin Park's new formation. Now, it's Chester's mother, Susan Eubanks, who speaks up to the public.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Susan admitted that she felt betrayed by Mike Shinoda Cs. Susan claims Shinoda has broken the promise made to her.

After Chester passed away in 2017, the band was on hiatus. According to Susan, Linkin Park's players at that time promised to discuss if they wanted to continue the band.

However, when the band Nu Metal returned to work with a new vocalist, both Susan and Jaime were never notified. In fact, both of them believe Linkin Park is trying to erase past traces.

"I feel they are trying hard to erase the past. They performed Chester's songs. And I don't know how the fans responded, but I know how I accepted it. And seeing him (Armstrong) singing my son's song hurts," Susan said as quoted by NME, September 19.

Susan thought that if Linkin Park got up, they would not add to the vocalist. He remembered how Chester taught Mike to sing before he died.

"I know Emily Armstrong's joining the band on Google. I actually thought the band would come out again, but Mike would be the singer; Chester did teach Mike how to sing. He sang One More Light, and now I can't hear it anymore," said Susan.
