JAKARTA - The 50th year journey of God Bless as a band is a matter of pride for Indonesian rock music lovers. Appreciation for their achievements also came from many parties.

After releasing the album Anthology 50th Years Anniversary and will hold a gold concert on November 10, God Bless received a record from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) as the Oldest Working Rock Genre Band.

Jaya Suprana representing MURi said that God Bless' achievement was something that should be appreciated. With many obstacles, Achmad Albar cs is still active for 50 years.

"Yes, indeed, running for 50 years is extraordinary. If the longest is okay, but if the one who can survive is very difficult. That's why we will give MURI a record for 50 years of God Bless," Jaya Suprana said in a Jaya Suprana Show which was held virtually, Thursday, November 2.

"For MURI, this means a lot, because this is to inspire other musicians, who knows there are other bands that can get through. But it's not easy, because Bless is still going to keep going," he continued.

For Achmad Albar, MURI's appreciation is also special. The record given is a complement to the 50th anniversary of God Bless's work in the national music industry.

"I'm grateful to be able to get an award from MURI. Just pray so that we can still survive the next few years," said the man who is familiarly called Iyek.

Achmad Akbar feels that God Bless has many meanings, moreover he has been involved since the beginning of his formation, and has also gone through the difficult times he has gone through.

For us, God Bless means a lot. We all live from God Bless, we wake up from the start, fall up a lot. We are proud to be able to last up to 50 years," he said.

Meanwhile, Ian Antono, who joined in the third year after God Bless was formed, admitted that he never thought he could still work with God Bless so far.

"I also didn't think it would be 50 years. This is a very meaningful journey for me, especially since I can still walk with Mas Iyek, Mas Donny, and other personnel," concluded Ian Antono.
