Indonesian Drummer To Travis Barker Condolences For Aaron Spears' Departure

JAKARTA - The departure of Aaron Spears, a drummer from the United States, who died on Monday, October 30, leaves deep sorrow not only for the family, but also for musicians who know him, both personally and not.

Many Indonesian drummers mourn Aaron Spears' departure. His ability to beat drums, and his good image in the eyes of the public and fans, made condolences come from cross-genre drummers.

Several Indonesian drummers who were seen mourning by uploading Instagram Stories of Aaron's death were Echa Soemantri, Gusti Hendy (GIGI), Fajar Satritama (God Bless), Ikmal Tobing, to Demas Narawangsa.

"Rest in peace @aspears," wrote Fajar Satritama.

"Goodbye @aspears," wrote Ikmal Tobing.

Meanwhile, another drummer uploaded a statement from Aaron's wife, Jessica, who reported the sad news.

"It is with great heart and sadness that I convey the news of the death of my beloved husband, Aaron Spears," the statement read.

"Aaron is not only an accomplished drummer, admired by many because of his unmatched talents and desires towards music, but he is also a devoted father to our valuable son, August," he continued.

Condolences also came from the drummer from the United States, Travis Barker (Blink 182). He commented on Aaron Spears' wife, Jessica's upload.

"I have no words. I love you very much my brother, and will miss you too. This doesn't seem real. Prayer for you, Jessica and August," wrote Travis Barker.

Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, who knew and had worked with Aaron Spears, also expressed deep sorrow through Instagram Story uploads.

"We are losing good people who have inspired all drummers. @aspears, prayers for family and loved ones. You will be remembered and celebrated," wrote Justin Bieber.

"I can't think about this, we are all very lucky to get to know Aaron. The brightest light from humans, always the best, always smiling. I am very honored and grateful that we met and have spent so much special time together. Thank you for your flashiness, for our laughter, and for your continuous kindness," wrote Ariana Grande.

"I will miss your hug. You are very, very loved and will be missed a lot," he concluded.
