Asked To Return To NAFF Vocalist After 13 Years, Ady: Why Only Now?

JAKARTA - Rusyaedi Makmun alias Ady admitted that he was asked to return to be the vocalist of the NAFF, the band he had left since 2010. This was revealed when he was a guest on Anji's MANJI world YouTube channel.

"There are so many offers (back to being NAFF vocalists). There are fans, and including the talks one night with the NAFF (personnel)," said Ady when he was a guest on the YouTube channel of the MANJI world, seen Wednesday, October 11.

Currently, Ady is closing the possibility to return to NAFF. Moreover, he is facing a conflict over the copyright of the song with his former band.

"Why are we talking about it, why are we covering up, we have to open facts. Why come out? Why are we just talking now. The question is why don't you forbid me from leaving? I have a reason to go out," said Ady.

It was difficult for Ady to leave the NAFF at that time. Moreover, he claimed to be the band's founder. At that time, the position of NAFF in the music industry was also very good.

"I left the big band, I left the NAFF in the state above, it's not something that's easy for me to do," said Ady.

Ady also revealed one of the moments that really made him have to make decisions to leave the band.

At that time, Ady, who was sick with tyfus, had to rest for a month. However, the management and band asked him to appear.

"I've sent a sick letter to the management, I've sent it a month earlier. Then suddenly it was said that there was a job in a cafe or club in Jakarta. I said I couldn't, I was sick," said Ady.

"When H wanted to perform on the day, I was asked to make a video and state that I was sick. Then what is my letter for? Why don't you give it to the committee?" he continued.

Finally, NAFF continued to appear without Ady. The vocalist position was replaced by another singer. However, the chosen singer was deemed inappropriate by Ady.

"Until I say don't replace me with a vocalist who doesn't appear. Sorry, yes, because the NAT at that time was really great," said Ady.

"Until I asked for a replacement for me, it was Fadly (Padi), if you really want to keep it on. But in fact, not really, I don't know who was called, and still performed," he added.

That's the top reason that made Ady decide to leave. Meanwhile, he did not reveal other problems.

"At 2 o'clock at night I was called by the label, because they knew that I was going out. Yes, I said I was backing down, whatever the reason," concluded Ady, the former NAT.
