Don't Stop Completing Jordy Waelauruw's New EP, Colo Colo 3

JAKARTA - The wait for Jordy Waelauruw ended with the presence of a mini album (EP) titled Colo Colo 3. Marked by the release of the last single Don't Stop, the result of Jordy's collaboration with the saksofon Nicky Manuputty, this EP can be listened to in full.

The song Don't Stop or if it means don't stop deliberately being at the last place on the album. Jordy made him a reminder that he never stops producing works or can be interpreted according to the mood of the listeners so they don't stop fighting for loved ones.

Since the beginning, Jordy had planned to be able to perform the song Don't Stop with Nicky. Making songs deliberately does not emphasize certain objects because Jordy wants listeners to be able to imagine himself when listening.

The memorable story in his cultivation, Jordy was immediately welcomed by Nicky. He sent the song material and was grateful that Nicky immediately responded with joy and continued to the meeting in February 2023.

We set a date for the recording at my house. FYI, Bung Nicky's house is in Cikupa and he has to go to Cibubur for the recording of this song. I really appreciate Bung Nicky' enthusiasm for the Colo Colo support. I think if it weren't for music, Bung Nicky would be really bad to break into Jakarta's traffic jams," recalls Jordy about their collaboration in his official statement.

In every Colo Colobuation, Jordy has already imagined who has a strong character to fill in his songs. The goal of the release of Colo Colo 3 is still the same as the previous two Colo Colos, which is to invite listeners to have fun.

"In Colo Colo 3, I took the theme of synergy. Why synergize because after I chose collaborators, I realized that they consisted of several generations. Some have been playing music for a long time, from Franky Sahilatua's era to those who have just started working," said Jordy.

During the recording process to shoot for four video songs on the album, Jordy felt lucky to be able to sit with the collaborators. The situation that was created on set which took place at the M Bloc Market, South Jakarta, was so warm. He chose Maluku special food as a dish.

"We all eat fish and chili sauce. Well, vibes is what I want to give to my listeners. Just like me, my team, and the collaborators who are doing Color 3," he concluded.

The mini album Colo Colo 3 was released one by one from June 9 which started with a Bankai single. Then followed by Aswari on June 16, and House of Blues on June 23. Now all songs including Don't Stop can be heard through music streaming services.
