JAKARTA Satria The Monster was again present by performing Sheila On 7's song titled Hari Bersamanya on March 22. This song was produced by Denny Chasmala without interference from Sheila On 7 personnel at all.

The band, which is inhabited by Satria (vocals and guitar), Iwan (bass) and Dimas (drums), said that they almost always perform the song Hari Bersamanya when performing on various stages. Therefore, now the rock unit from Makassar officially records the song so that it doesn't become a problem when it wants to sing it in the future.

In addition, it is reported that they will immediately proceed to work on works in the form of singles and albums in the near future.

How is the process of creating the song Hari Bersamanya?

Satria: This is really fast. So when we came to the studio, all of that had been provided by Denny Chasmala. Starting from the arrangement of all kinds. So we just add a few ideas. Yes, it's only about three days, everything is finished. And it's the shortest process during our career journey.

That means you could say Denny Chasmala spoils you, right?

Iwan: Yes, yes. Like being given a measure at home. But, yes, it is spoiled. Still gives us space to fill in some parts. And of course free us too.

What did you feel when produced by Denny Chasmala?

Satria: Of course we get a lot of knowledge. Like how to make the right song, how to arrange it, how to make good lyrics. Finally, we studied it secretly. We observed how it happened. Because he likes sharing as well as the person. For example, after taking the guitar, we chatted about Om Denchas' journey.

This song will be included in your next album or EP (mini album)?

Satria: Oh no. It will be separated.

Dimas: So this is just a single for us to be able to sing the song legally.

Is it a burden to cover a band that has a good guitarist in blues music?

Dimas: It must be a burden, especially when we released a hit song in our day. It's just that we are very happy with this song, almost every time we appear we always slip Sheila On 7 songs, we finally make it more serious. Instead of bringing it live again, it's not clear, right. Yes, so if one day we want to sing this song it becomes even better.

After this song, what are your next plans?

Iwan: Try to make an album this year. Then, God willing, there will be tours in the future. And the closest one, we will immediately record the next song.

Withdrawing from the journey of your career, what was your decision at that time when you moved from Makassar to Jakarta in 2008?

Satria: So initially the one who left for Jakarta was me, mother, and father. That's because I got an invitation to meet Gilang Ramadhan. So I used to be a drummer. Then, at that time Gilang Ramadhan wanted to create a music school. Well, I was offered to be an icon at the music school. From there I started to monitor, right. Not long after that I got a record of muri as the youngest jazz drummer when playing at Mall Of Indonesia. After that, finally I called my brothers and sisters to come to Jakarta. Because I had the desire to play the band. Initially, Satria The Monster formed the drum, bass in Dimas, and Iwan guitar. So after that, just played like the song The Police. A few years later, Dimas felt that his voice was no longer able to sing. Then you changed the formation like now.

Can you say The Police is one of the bands that inspires you?

Satria: If it's music, it's not.

Dimas: More about this, how do we see their career journey, performance, cohesiveness, and that's what we apply in this band.

What difficulties did you experience at that time to stay in Jakarta?

Dimas: In the past, we had ups and downs, yes, before that, we had time to make each other's bands, and they didn't match. Disband. Keep making it again. Disband again. Maybe it's tired there, yes, which in the end decided that we just made three of us. Because we're family, so it's normal if there's anything to talk about. If we're with other people, we don't like to talk about something like that.

For the band that has had a career since 2008, have you guys felt successful?

Dimas: Maybe togetherness feels successful. Still surviving in the music industry until now. Commercially or whatever, that's the case lately. The most important thing is that we can still survive. The problem is, if it is successful commercially but can't survive, it's the same. It's better if we just strengthen the foundation first. If later we get criticism from other people so we don't waver.
