JAKARTA - In an interview with Metal Pilgrim, Total Byford talked about the progress of the songwriting session for the new Saxon studio album.
"Yes, we've just demoted a song right now. It sounds fantastic. What can I say? But we're demonstrating a song right now. We're working on the music," said the Saxon frontman.
"I ask people to push themselves and produce some riffs and great things. And that's what we did, really. So we put the music together now.
"Maybe it will be finished in a few weeks before I start singing in the demo. And after that's done, it's pretty easy then; the recording process is pretty easy. No surprises. We know what we're doing."
Asked about the musical direction of Saxon's new album later, this is where it comes from.
"It will be like the Carpe Diem [2022] and Thunderbolt [2018). This will be a great Saxon album."
