Feby Putri Launches Meaningful Mini Album, 2016

JAKARTA - Feby Putri launched her first mini album entitled 2016. Being a conversation throughout 2022, she began to be productive in presenting songs summarized through this EP.

Tahun 2016 adalah pertama kalinya berhasil menulis dan merekam sebuah lagu melalui voice note di HP. Saat itu, kehitung agar laguku masuk dapur rekaman, kata Feby Putri mengenai album mini perdananya.

Through a mini album, Feby Putri pointed like a moon star as the main single. This pop folk song tells the story of a teenage love that is buried without being realized. The singer uses a stellar and moon metaphor to lead to the figure he wants.

Each song in the 2016 EP is written based on snippets of refrain from the voice note recording archive of Feby Putri seven years ago, of course with new adjustments and arrangements.

"The album Riuh saw the process of Feby Putri's maturity during her trip to Jakarta, while the 2016 EP was nostalgia to the early days that shaped me into what it is today," he said.

In terms of music, 2016 experimented with diverse genres, one of which was Spanish music, while still carrying Feby Putri's typical pop folk roots.

There are five new songs with similar genres that were presented for the first time by Feby Putri. The five tracks are: the same person, different times (Intro), an introduction to change and consistency of Feby Putri over time.

In addition, there are mark the word', self-isolate first', seconds, minutes, hours' and main tracks like the Moon Star. The closing track is seconds, minutes, clocks' have different lyrical meanings from the other four tracks where Feby voiced the negative comments received.

This album is Feby Putri's latest project after appearing in Malaysia some time ago. The plan, Feby Putri will release a music video for EP 2016 over the next few months.

The 2016 mini album can be listened to digitally starting today, Saturday, April 1, 2023.
