JAKARTA - Jimmy Page shared The Seasons, an unreleased instrumental arrangement that finally formed the basis for The Rain Song from the 1974 album Led Zeppelin, Houses Of The Holy.

In a message accompanying the release of the song on YouTube, Jimmy wrote: "My original idea for the opening song House's Of The Holy is that a brief opening will be a lively instrumental introduction with a layered electric guitar that will enter The Seasons, which will later be titled The Rain Song."

"Again, there will be an acoustic guitar instrumental movement in contrast to the melotron which can lead to the first vocals of the album and the song's first verse.

"The Seasons is a memo for myself as a reminder of the sequence of songs and the various ideas I have for that in the embryo stage. I did it one night at home. During the routine of the opening now entitled The Plumpton And Worsester Races, part of half of the time was born and the opening was formed into a song, The Song Remains The Same. This exercise was held at Puddle Town in River Piddle in Dorset, England.

"The first recording set was done at Olympic Studios with George Chkiantz. We then came to record at Stargroves, Sir Mick Jagger's hometown, and, like Headley Grange, with the Rolling Stones record truck.

"The Song Remains The Same played on Fender 12 strings, the same guitar used on Becks Bolero, with Les Paul number 1 I trusted on overdub in the standard round. The Rain Song is a non-orthodox tuning on acoustics and electric guitars. In live performances, it became a training feature for double neck guitars."

Jimmy previously mentioned The Rain Song's demo in a 2014 interview with Classic Rock, which was carried out around the re-release of the luxury version of Houses Of The Holy.

"I had the home demo The Rain Song, but unfortunately the cassette was gone. The real guy," he said at the time. "I really had a full part from start to finish. I had the idea of Mellovron and everything in it."

Houses Of The Holy itself features legendary songs such as The Song Remains The Same and No Quarter while also displaying a sustainable evolution of Led Zeppelin's signature sound with a reggae D'yer Maker tone andANGka The Crunge. The album has been certified by RIAA for sales of more than 11 million copies.
