JAKARTA - Seven years after releasing the music video for Automatic High, Jakarta-based singer and songwriter Darryl Wezy returns with a visualization from Kemarau Terbaru. This song was taken from the mini album (EP) with the same title which was launched last year.

The concept of this music video is a beauty shot and captures some of the typical sights in Bali such as beaches, gemitir flower gardens, and volcanic rocky hills. Directed by videographer Mankjay Dananjaya, the music video took two days of shooting and 25 days of editing.

"We tried to show natural scenery related to the universe itself," Darryl Wezy explained the concept of shooting in the music video of the Last Drought in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, November 14.

The Last Kemarau song tells the story of how to empower yourself and enjoy life moments, both joy and sorrow. Darryl Wezy's characteristics tend to give a touch of the theme of freedom in every song with pop music wrapped in folk.

"The melody was written around 2007 when I was in high school, but it was completed around 2015 in the middle of a career in advertising," said Darryl.

And this time, Darryl also complements his music with the sounds of '70s harpsichords, flutes, and percussion into the folk music aisle. Investigate it, referring to chamber pop music or sunshine pop such as The Free Design, Mama Cass, and The Decemberists.

This song is a large part of the EP Kemarau Terbaru which consists of 6 songs, including Tomorrow (single mix), Northern Star and Wolfie (both from the first album Maze of Fears), By the Great Universe (Last Kemarau - English adapted version), and Tomorrow (Shibuya-Gawa mix).

Last Kemarau itself is Darryl Wezy's first song in Indonesian and is considered capable of increasing the number of streaming on several digital music service providers such as Spotify and Apple Music. The music video for this song has been available on the Darryl Wezy YouTube channel since September 27, 2019.

Darryl Wezy's track record first became known when her debut album, Maze of Fears, released in October 2012 under the labels Ivy League Music and Rooftop Sound, hit the Japanese music market.

The man who graduated from The London School of Public Relations Jakarta is currently preparing his second full album, in which Tomorrow, Kemarau Terbaru and Silver Lining's third single released in February will be included in it.
