Keeway EV Anne, Benelli's Retro-Style Electric Scootik: Price Below IDR 20 Million

JAKARTA - In the 2023 Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS), PT Benelli Motor Indonesia released an electric sticker under the Keeway EV brand with the name Anne.

The motorbike, which has a European-style retro design, has a 60V/30Ah lithium LifePo4. Anne gets the charging capacity from zero to full within 6 hours. This sticker is also equipped with an electric motorcycle of 1,200 W.

"Having an electric motorbike of 1,200 W, then Anne has speeds of up to 60 km/hour," said Steven Kencana Putra, as President Director of PT Benelli Motor Indonesia when inaugurating the Anne model at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

The retro look on Anne is even more complete with several modern elements embedded, such as the use of color LED lights on the speedometer, full LED lighting on the headlights, device charging stations, battery that can be removed, and others.

What is even more interesting about Anne is that this sticker has an arm swing made of aluminum, and the legs that use 90/90-12 front tires and 90/3.50-10 rear tires.

"For rims and swing arm, we use sturdy aluminum materials. Not plastic," said Steven.

Benelli currently only presents Keeway EV Anne in purple. However, it is possible that other colors will also follow depending on the market.

It has also been confirmed that Anne will be priced at Rp. 19.8 million on the Jakarta OTR. Sales will be made from September 2023.

Currently, PT Benelli Motor Indonesia is trying to apply for 40 percent TKDN certification to Anne. However, Steven said that customers who are interested can pre-order first without issuing a down payment.

"It's still being processed, it's possible that July will be finished. However, customers can immediately pre-order, record their names, personal data, without advance. We also test the market at the same time," said Steven.
