Electric SUV Grecale Folgore 2024, Maserati's Evidence Ready To Compete In The Era Of Electric Cars

JAKARTA - Maserati further proves its readiness to compete in the electric car era, and the Grecale Folgore 202 electric SUV which will be launched later this year, proof that this luxury brand is ready to compete with cars such as BMW iX and Tesla Model X in terms of performance and distance.

The name "Folgore" which means "tir" in Italian, hints that this electric SUV will have extraordinary acceleration. Armed with adequate power, the Grecale Folgore will join the GranTurismo Folgore sports car as part of Maserati's efforts to crash the electric car world.

This attractive exterior display of Maserati's first electric SUV is not much different from the gasoline-powered version, but with some key differences, including a typical treatment of stylish gear and wheel design specifically for Folgore.

Although the details of the driving system are still minimally informed, Maserati promises a large capacity battery, namely 105.0 kWh - although it is not yet clear whether this refers to the total usable capacity or capacity - which should provide excellent driving range.

Maserati also has not disclosed how many electric motors will be offered in the 2024 Grecale Folgore, but it is known that all wheels will be powered by electric power, indicating at least two motors, one for the front wheels and one for the rear wheels.

The Grecale Folgore battery has a large capacity, which is 105.0 kWh, but no estimate of driving range. With this capacity, it is estimated that the Grecale Folgore can offer a distance of about 482 km per charge, as reported by the Caranddriver, some time ago.

The cabin interior is almost the same as the gasoline-powered version, but uses recycled materials for seat coatings. While it is not yet clear how the battery will be placed and its impact on baggage capacity, it is hoped that Grecale Folgore will still have a wide interior space like regular models.

The digital feature inside the Grecale Folgore cabin is expected to be similar to the gasoline-powered model. This includes a re-configuration screen for measurement clusters, a 12.3-inch infotainment touch screen, as well as an 8.8-inch separated screen for climate settings and vehicle functions. The unique wall clock uses a round screen to display analog faces, similar to those in smartwatches.
