These Are The Rows Of Concept Cars That Are Attractive To Attention At GIIAS 2023

JAKARTA - Currently, the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is being held with great fanfare. This annual event has undergone significant changes from the previous edition with several new products introduced by various manufacturers.

Not only presenting the latest models, several Brand Holder Agents (APM) also present concept cars as a preview of the upcoming models or as media to introduce the latest technology in their product lines.

Although these concept cars were not sold, some of them managed to steal the attention of visitors who packed this year's exhibition. The following is a list of concept cars that attract public attention:

Toyota Rangga Concept

This concept car has attracted the attention of many visitors at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The Concept range is a pickup built on the Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform.

This car was presented in the context of a modification contest entitled "Toyota Rangga Concept Digimodz Contest" held by Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) and the National Modificator and Aftermarket Association (NMAA). At the Toyota Commercial booth, Rangga Concept is exhibited in various variants such as Rangga Concept Mobile Café, Rangga Concept Ambulance, Rangga Concept EV Charger Mobile Service, and Rangga Concept Pace Car.

Although specifications have not been disclosed, TAM plans to launch it as a commercial vehicle to compete with Isuzu Traga.

Daihatsu Vizion-F

Daihatsu Vizion-F is a step towards electrification for Daihatsu. This car was developed as a commercial vehicle for business logistics activities that will also contribute to efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the future.

With the GranMax base changed from a gasoline engine to an electric vehicle (EV), Vizion-F has a futuristic design that reflects future cars.

Vizion-F describes Daihatsu's vision of "Vision", "Zero Emission", "Futuristic", "Functional", "Fun", and "Friendly" cars, as environmentally friendly vehicles that support business and personal activities.

Honda SUV e: Prototype

First introduced at Auto Shanghai 2021, Honda SUV e: Prototype is an electric concept car based on HR-V. Indonesia is the second country in Southeast Asia to feature this concept after Thailand International Motor Expo 2022.

With futuristic design and advanced innovation, the Honda SUV e: Prototype represents Honda's efforts in in introducing electric car technology to the Indonesian people.

Built on the HR-V base, the concept car offers a combination of futuristic design and electric battery efficiency.

Honda N-Van EV Concept

As a kei car, this concept car is based on Honda N-Box which is popular in the Japanese market. Although details of the specifications are not yet available, Honda claims that this car is capable of traveling up to 200 km with one charge.

Nissan Ariya Single Seater Concept

This single seat car is the result of Nissan's exploration project regarding the performance of electric cars on the highway. This concept shows the high performance of Nissan Ariya as well as strong and efficient EV technology in energy consumption.

With inspiration from Nissan's participation in Formula E, the Ariya Single Seater Concept reflects Nissan Indonesia's commitment to developing environmentally friendly vehicle innovations.
