Chery Indonesia Enlivens GIIAS 2023 With Futuristic SUVs And Electric Vehicles

JAKARTA - At the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) automotive party, PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) presented a number of interesting models at their booth. The main highlights are the Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro, and Tiggo 8 Pro SUVs. Not only that, CSI also made a breakthrough by releasing their first electric vehicle in Indonesia, namely the Omoda 5 EV.

However, to enliven the event, this APM also brought Natasha Wilona, an Indonesian young artist.

At the event, Wilona shared her experience of driving with Chery's mainstay, Omoda 5. She talked about how Omoda 5 not only accommodates her lifestyle, but also pays serious attention to aspects of security and comfort.

"Omode 5 not only meets my style criteria with its futuristic and unique designs, but also provides agile performance and completeness of the security features," said Wilona, on Saturday, August 12.

Agreeing with what Wilona said, President of PT CSI and Vice President of Chery International, Shawn Xu expressed his joy at the fact that Omoda 5 was widely accepted and used by Indonesian celebrities to accommodate their lifestyle.

"Our commitment remains strong in providing high-quality vehicles that meet consumer expectations," Shawn said.

The safety quality of this SUV also received recognition. Omoda 5 managed to reach five stars in a hit test conducted by the Australation New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).

Di pasar Indonesia, Chery menawarkan dua varian Omoda 5, yaitu Omoda 5 Z dan Omoda 5 RZ. Harga Omoda 5 Z dibanderol sekitar Rp329 juta, sementara varian RZ dibanderol dengan harga Rp399 juta.

These two variants have identical dimensions, with a length of 4,400 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,585 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,630 mm.

In terms of engines, Omoda 5 comes with two engine options. The first is the 1.600 cc TGDI engine with 194 dk of power and 290 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the second option is the 1,500 cc TCI engine with 155 dk of power and 230 Nm of torque.

With a modern design and the latest technology suitable for the younger generation, Omoda 5 has achieved positive achievements with sales reaching 2,000 units since its launch in February 2023.
