Is It True That The Latest Mitsubishi XFC Trial On The Indonesian Toll Road?

JAKARTA - The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) will take place in August. As is known, GIIAS is a place for car manufacturers to show off the latest models, as well as to sell their products.

Quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, June 24, Mitsubishi is reportedly preparing a new SUV that will be announced at GIASS. This possibility was strengthened by the circulation of a recent video showing an SUV - which is very similar to the Mitsubishi concept vehicle - which is speeding up on the Indonesian road. The SUV was seen crossing the route - in part like a toll road -, with a sign of direction that reads "Jakarta, Bandung".

Meanwhile, on the road sign next to it, it can be seen that the instructions for the toll exit with the name faint direction can be seen reading "Purwodadi and Semarang". That way it can be predicted that the new Mitsubishi SUV seems to be testing the road from east of Central Java to Jakarta.

Then, what new SUV is caught being tested Mitsubishi in Indonesia? From its appearance, it is very similar to the prototype we have seen and known, namely Mitsubishi XFC Concept. The difference, which we have seen this time in the video circulating, is most likely the production version. So, the possibility of XFC to be produced in the near future is getting clearer signs.

In the short video about 10 seconds long, it is clear that the front is very similar to the Mitsubishi XFC Concept, where the front fascia features Mitsubishi's typical Dynamic Shield design.

Then if you look at the back, there is a pillar C to D that rises compared to the center and front glass, while in the middle there is a small glass window like the Mitsubishi XFC Concept.

On the back, although almost the entire body of the car is covered with stickers, it is clear that the design and shape are XFC's, and another clear clue is the shape of the back lamp.

The shape of the back that also leads to XFC is the arch on top of the back bumper which then forms a bulge under the rear glass. Then, the rear spoiler design is also obvious. That's Mitsubishi XFC!

Especially if we look at the velg design, it's clearly the same. Although the SUV is still tightly closed, we suspect that the XFC production version will be slightly different from the concept version, at least in terms of embedded technology.

Is it true, Mitsubishi will soon announce a production version of the XFC Concept, we are waiting at GIIAS 2023 which will be held next August.
