Undisbursed And Just Opened Pre Order, 25,000 Units Of Xpeng G6 Ordered In 72 Hours

JAKARTA - In the last two years the popularity of electric SUVs has increased rapidly in China, this increase has reportedly started since Tesla launched the Model Y which is also produced in China.

Xpeng, a Chinese electric vehicle startup company also has a pure electric SUV competitor to Tesla Model Y, namely Xpeng G6. And Xpeng has opened a medium-sized electric coup SUV preorder, Xpeng G6 on June 9. And the results are shocking. In less than 72 hours, the company has received more than 25,000 orders for this vehicle.

The Xpeng G6 was first exhibited at the Shanghai car exhibition last April. With prices starting from 225,000 yuan or around IDR 468 million, the new Xpeng G6 will officially launch on June 29, and start shipping in July.

Reporting from InsideEvs, June 13, the Xpeng G6 was built using the advanced Xpeng "Fuyao" architecture. One of its flagship features is 800V fast charging support, which allows drivers to increase battery range to 300 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging.

This vehicle is available in two power variants: rear wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD). The RWD variant offers a maximum power of 218 kW (292 dk) and a 440 Nm peak torque, while the 4WD variant provides a combined power of 358 kW (480 dk) and a combined torque of 660 Nm. The Xpeng G6 is also equipped with a lidar dual and displays advanced second-generation XNGP technology.

In terms of dimensions, the Xpeng G6 is a medium-sized couple SUV designed to compete with the Tesla Model Y. Available in six color choices that include gray, silver, white, orange, orange, cyan, and blue. With a size of 4753/1920/1650 mm and a 2890 mm wheelbase, the Xpeng G6 is approximately 3 mm longer and 26 mm higher compared to the Tesla Model Y.

Based on the report, the G6 will come with two battery options, namely a 66 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a 87.5 kWh ternary (NMC) battery. The RWD variant with a larger battery can reach an impressive distance of up to 755 kilometers with one charge, in accordance with the Chinese Long-Term Test Cycle (CLTC) standard.

In addition, the Xpeng G6 also brings advanced innovation and technology to the electric car market as the first model based on the next generation technology architecture SEPA2.0, which features enhanced X-EEA 3.5 central supercomputer capabilities and domain controllers for increased computing speed.
