Bentley Releases Continental GT And GT Edition Le Mans

JAKARTA - Bentley, this luxury car brand released a limited edition of 48 cars from two GT Continental and Continental GT Convertible (GTC) models in celebration of their 20-year victory in the iconic race, 24 Hours Le Mans.

Bentley will offer two variants of each model, namely Blackline and Styling. Blackline will be colored with black and green livery like the one used by Le Mans winning racing car, Bentley Speed 8. Then, there is Styling which uses open carbon fiber, reported by Autocar, Wednesday, April 12.

In design, nothing has changed when compared to the standard Continental GT and GT. However, Bentley made the model a special edition by embedding the white #7 number in the middle of its goal which refers to the winning car number Le Mans Bentley in 2003.

The Continental Le Mans Collection also features a three-way rotating, which is to help drivers or passengers to see touchscreens, double venues, and analog dials.

On the inside, there is also a British Racing Green colored seat and there is a digital clock that shows 24 hours. The dashboard section is also displayed the year and the number of Bentley wins at Le Mans which adds to the exclusive impression.

The engine also embeds the mainstay engine W12 6.0 liters twin-turbocharged. This car can emit 641 dk and a maximum torque of 900 Nm.

With this powerful engine, Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Collection can travel at a maximum speed of up to 334 km/hour and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour within 3.6 seconds.

Bentley also developed in terms of braking by installing carbon-keramic brakes and maneuverability assisted by four-wheel drive and electronic slip differentials.

For your information, Bentley has won the oldest endurance race, Le Mans 24 Hours six times, namely 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, and 2003.
