'The Nun 2' Film Review: Revenge That Hasn't Ended

JAKARTA - The Conjuring Universe has released the film "The Nun 2" again. This film tells the story of an evil nurse named Valak terrorizing humans.

The film The Nun 2 has been watched in all Indonesian cinemas since September 6.

Previously in the film The Nun (2018), Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) was seen successfully destroying Valak and managed to escape death. However, the terrible terror was not over, marked by the mysterious death of one of the priests in the church he led with charred conditions.

Finally, the Vatican had to return to ask Sister Irene to help solve this problem because she was the only person who had fought Valak's evil forces. Until finally, he met again with the person who had saved his life in the previous film, Frenchie (Jonas Bloquet).

For those of you who are loyal viewers of The Conjuring Universe, the figure of Valak is one of the most iconic figures. Having an image as a monk, sharp teeth and bright yellow eyes become a figure that is hard to forget.

This made the Warner Bros company dare to make a sequel to The Nun.

Despite its own appeal, in this follow-up film, the figure of Valak who was supposed to be the main character in The Nun did not have much appearance. The terror given also feels bland because Valak does not show real strength so it seems easy to destroy.

Fortunately, this was saved by the appearance of other figures who gave a new color to the film The Nun 2 such as the appearance of a small child's ghost and a black goat who made the atmosphere more tense.

Overall, the film The Nun 2 is enough to cure the longing of the loyal audience of The Conjuring Universe with the figure of Valak and the backbone of Sister Irene even though it is not as good as the first The Nun film. However, Valak's action, who is still trying to get revenge that is not over, cannot be missed.
