Education Innovation, Kedaireka Inaugurates Innovation Funds Funded By Industry

Launch Innovation Fund

JAKARTA - Kedaireka launched the latest collaboration ecosystem program Innovation Fund: Link and Match Program in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Different from existing funding programs, Innovation Fund comes with funding entirely from Industrial Partners.

Innovation Fund also offers convenience for Higher Education Personnel who participate with concise administrative mechanisms and a shorter selection process.

For information, Innovation Fund is the development of one of Kedaireka's Ecosystem programs, namely Rekapitch, which was launched in 2022. In order to expand collaboration access for universities throughout Indonesia, the Directorate General of Higher Education through Kedaireka in 2023 decided to expand the scale of the Rekapitch program and change its name to Innovation Fund.

In this program, Universities also no longer need to worry about finding industrial partners because Kedaireka has prepared various industrial partners with business cases in various fields.

Plt. Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Nizam said that the presence of the Innovation Fund and the ease of the process are expected to strengthen the synergy of collaboration and mutual trust between Universities and the Industrial World.

"Kedaireka will continue to facilitate meetings between Universities and the Industrial World. This year we present the Innovation Fund program with all its conveniences both administratively and in the selection process which is expected to be able to increase opportunities for innovation collaboration. I hope this program can spur the presence of the best innovation ideas and strengthen mutual trust between Universities and the Industrial World," Nizam said at the online launch, Tuesday, June 6.

Companies planning to join the Innovation Fund program are: Kadin DKI Jakarta Province, PT Unilever Indonesia, Adaro Group, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), PT Pegadaian, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero), Pijar Foundation, PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, etc.

Kedaireka PMO chairman 2023, Mahir Bayasut said that Innovation Fund will come throughout the year with various business cases from various Industrial Partners.

The Innovation Fund program will start with a business case competition by PT Unilever Indonesia and Adaro Group, but research colleagues do not need to worry because the Innovation Fund program will be opened throughout the year. There will be many opportunities for innovation collaboration with various topics that can be followed by Higher Education Personnel from all over Indonesia," said Mahir.
