JAKARTA - The film Khanzab is ready to air on April 19, 2023 at the Eid holiday. The film produced by Dee Company stars Yassammin Jasem, Tika Brahani, and Arswendy Beningswara Nasution.

Producer Dheeraj Kalwani hopes that this film can be a choice for family viewing during the Eid holiday. "Hopefully it can be the family's goal to spend the Eid holidays with family. This film not only offers horror and scary stories, but a mutually reinforcing family relationship," said Dheeraj during the gala premiere at Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 13.

There are many surprising elements shown by director Anggy Umbara in this film. Anggy admitted that he wanted to give a tense and scary horror film.

"What we want to show here is scary and scary entertainment, but still photographing a number of social and personal problems that are close to being raised," Anggy Umbara said.

Khanzab's appearance in the trailer for this film is also different from the ghosts who usually appear in Indonesian horror films. Even though it's just a trailer, many appearances create curiosity.

"Of course there are many other scenes that are better in films, therefore we dare to pamper the audience with good scenes in the trailer. This is like a storefront for the Khanzab film," said Dheeraj Kalwani.

For Tika Brahani, Khanzab's film is very special because it is her first horror film. Moreover, this is the project of her comeback after 5 years of 'leave' filming a film.

"I can't wait to show Khanzab. I'm doing everything I can to give my best in this film," he explained.

Yassamin admitted that he was challenged to play the character Rahayu. "Rahayu is a teenager who has been traumatized because throughout her life she always listens to the words of bully, her father, the shaman of witchcraft, friends with jinn, does many supernatural things. There are times when she gets worse and really changes from cheerful to label, revenge because she sees her father being killed in front of her own eyes. Full of revenge, yes, quite complex character when viewed later in the film," he said.

This 19-year-old girl admitted that she was interested in starring in the film Khanzab because she had limitations to her life. "Some of my recent films are mostly horror, in my opinion, every film has its own closeness and challenges. The challenge is playing with the same genre as different stories and characters. I want to explore more," he explained.

So, did Yassamin ever be disturbed by Khanzab so he forgot to pray? "I didn't say it was a disturbance, I once forgot to pray. That's because I'm not solemn enough, there could be a disturbance from Ihzab too," he explained.

"I hope that this film can be an option for your family to watch it on Eid. Don't be afraid that Khan will make you afraid to pray, this actually makes us know why prayers are not solemn," he said.

Arswendy Beningswara Nasution admitted that he was enthusiastic about competing with Tika Brahani and Yassamin Jasem.

"This is a new experience for me, because I have been disturbed by prayers. And Anggy visualizes it, that's why I ran with this film. I became Pakde Sentot who wanted to protect his nephew and grandson," he said.

Acting with Tika Brahani, according to Yassamin, is very fun. "Because we had the same project as a series. When reading until finally finished filming, not a day was passed without laughing with Mrs. Tika. Because the shooting was already horror, I think if you don't laugh, you become stressed. So we make the shooting situation fun maybe. You also like to give some input for my acting," he said.
