JAKARTA - Even though he has passed away, the late Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz or familiarly called Eril is still declared to have graduated from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Ridwan Kamil's first son graduated as a scholar from in absentia.

The Governor of West Java wrote his pride when taking his diploma. "Alhamdulillah, today, Saturday, April 8, 2023, A Eril, who was deceased, will be graduated as an ITB scholar in absentia. I will take his diploma to represent him," said Ridwan Kamil, quoted via his personal Instagram @ridwankamil, Saturday, April 8.

Governor Ridwan Kamil said after Eril died, ITB held two hearings to test whether Eril's final assignment was fit to pass, in substance, the late Eril had completed his final assignment.

"The project of the deceased is to create Skin Disease Scanning Technology using a cellphone camera, which is then read by machine learning. Working with his team," he said.

The process of the first trial to get a bachelor's degree was held at the faculty and the results of the trial at the faculty were tested again by several professors or professors.

"And the result, thank God, is declared to meet the requirements of ITB's strict standards," he said.
