Director James Mangold Proudly Indiana Jones 5 Will Air At The Cannes Film Festival

JAKARTA - The organizers of the Cannes Film Festival confirmed that the Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny film will premiere at the event on May 18. Director James Mangold stated that he was proud to be back at the festival for the premiere of the Hollywood blockbuster.

"In 1995, I had the honor of coming to Cannes with my first film 'Heavy', as part of Director's Fortnight," Mangold was quoted as saying by Variety, Tuesday, April 4.

"Twenty-eight years later, I'm proud to be back with a little bigger work. My colleagues and I are very excited to share the new and last Indiana Jones adventures with all of you," he added.

In the Indiana Jones 5 screening, the Cannes Festival will also pay special tribute to Harrison Ford, the main iconic star of the franchise.

This fifth film will reportedly be Ford's last time playing the termular character. The details of the film plot are still kept secret. But based on the trailer, the film looks set to tell the story of Dr. Jones who is dealing with the former Nazi.

Setelah ditayangkan di Festival Cannes, Indiana Jones 5 akan dirilis di bioskop pada 28 Juni 2023 di Prancis dan 30 Juni 2023 di Amerika Serikat.
