JAKARTA - Photo of a COVID-19 free health certificate from a hospital is being traded in a number of online shops. In fact, the letter was only valued at Rp. 70 thousand.

Based on the photo, there is a telephone number that can be contacted to order it. In addition, the website address 'www.suratdokterindonesiaaa.blogspot.com' appears, which seems to show the validity of the letter.

The police started investigating. Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Argo Yuwono, said that the cyber team from Bareskrim Polri was tracking the account of the seller of the medical certificate.

"Yes, the cyber team will investigate the medical certificate being traded," Argo said in his statement, Thursday, May 14.

When the investigator finds a criminal element, the uploader of the photo will of course be processed according to the applicable law.

"We will carry out an investigation, if it is proven that there is a criminal act we will process it," said Argo.

This COVID-19 health certificate is one of the requirements so that people can travel outside the house. In fact, to obtain this letter, the community must first carry out a rapid test and be declared healthy by the hospital, puskesmas or other health offices.

This healthy letter is known to netizens from a Twitter upload @DokterPodcast. This upload is suspected to be a screenshot from the Tokopedia online shop.

Tokopedia immediately responded to this. Tokopedia's External Communications Senior Lead Ekhel Chandra Wijaya revealed that his party had taken further actions according to company procedures.

From VOI's monitoring, Thursday, May 14, the COVID-19 health certificate, which was sold at Rp. 70,000 per sheet, is no longer on the platform with the green logo.

"Currently, we have taken action against the product and / or shop in accordance with the procedure. Tokopedia has the right to take actions in the form of inspection, delay or reduction of content, as well as other actions according to the procedure," Ekhel said in an official statement received by VOI.

Ekhel also appealed to the public to report products that violate Tokopedia's terms and conditions and / or applicable laws in Indonesia, directly from the Report feature on every product page.

Meanwhile, the Twitter account @mazzini_gsp also uploaded a screenshot of the same letter buying and selling. However, the selling price is different and the online shop platform is different. In the @mazzini_gsp upload, the letter was valued at Rp.39 million and was sold at Shopee.

Shopee's Twitter account, @ShopeeCare replied to the @mazzini_gsp upload and said that the seller had been given firm action.
