Ganjar Disburses A Budget Of IDR 14 Billion For The Mount Merapi Evacuation Route

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo disbursed Rp. 14 billion in assistance to overcome the destroyed Mount Merapi evacuation route in Kemalang Klaten District. In this sub-district, three evacuation routes were damaged, namely in the villages of Tegalmulyo, Tlogowatu, and Sidorejo.

In Tegalmulyo Village, damage occurred on the main road of the village to Suworono Market in Tlogowatu Village. It is an evacuation route on the west side of Mount Merapi. However, the most severe damage was in Deles Hamlet, Sidorejo Village, Kemalang District, because so far the evacuation route has been the main road for the C excavation miners.

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, went straight to the three evacuation routes after checking Mount Merapi's activities at the Balerante Klaten monitoring post, Wednesday, July 8.

"We want to check the evacuation route. Because yesterday the Provincial Government assistance was proposed. And yesterday we were still refocusing on COVID, "said Ganjar as quoted from the official website of the Central Java Provincial Government, Thursday, July 9.

Although it is about 10 kilometers from the Balerante Monitoring Post, it will take almost half an hour to get to Sidorejo Ganjar. In addition to the high incline, the road is damaged due to a mining truck crossing.

"Wow, if the evacuation route is combined with the lanes of these trucks, that's a loss. Who do we want to help you on this way? Don't. Thousands of trucks go through here, right? ” said Ganjar to the Head of the Public Works Office of Bina Marga and Cipta Karya Central Java, Hanung Triyono.

The road that makes Ganjar reluctant to help is the evacuation route in Sidorejo Village, which is also side by side with Kali Kuning, one of the Wedus gembel routes and the sand mining route. To repair the route, it is submitted to Klaten Regency.

Head of DPU BMCK Hanung Triyono explained that the evacuation route that will be assisted by the Provincial Government is the evacuation route in Tegalmulyo Village to Tlogowatu. The total road that the provincial government will assist is five kilometers. The budget disbursed for the construction of the road is Rp. 14 billion.
