Zoe Kravitz Wants To Shoot Again, But Is Afraid His Catwoman Costume Will Be Touched By Many
JAKARTA - Batman star Zoe Kravitz hopes that his new film production process can begin soon. But he is not sure it can be done during social distancing.
Production of the film, which will star Robert Pattinson in the titular role, was halted earlier this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The release date was then pushed back from July 2021 to October next year.
Kravitz, who was appointed to star in the film as Catwoman, told Variety he hopes to wake up every day to an incoming email or phone call saying, 'We're ready to shoot'. But he doesn't see it as a possibility at a time when social distancing guidelines still exist.
"I keep in touch with everyone, and everyone is ready to start shooting when it's safe," said Kravitz. "But no, we don't know (when)."
"(While filming) there are people who touch your face, touch your body all day long," he continued. “I need help getting into the cat costume. I can't do it alone. I'm probably touched more than any job, just because of the clothes and the fighting and all that I do in this film. "
Kravitz's comments came after fellow star Andy Serkis said he was really only halfway through shooting his part when production was halted.
"It will be interesting to see when this film will air and how it is affected by the conditions (of the pandemic)," he continued, adding that Batman was packaged to be a "beautiful film".
