50 People Will Be Able To Join WhatsApp Video Calls
JAKARTA - WhatsApp plans to increase its group call service to accommodate more participants in one call. You do this by integrating the WhatsApp service with Facebook Messenger Rooms.
Quoted from Techradar, Facebook plans to integrate the WhatsApp Group Call service with Messenger Rooms. This option allows WhatsApp to increase the number of participants in its video call to 50 people.
This is possible because Messenger Rooms, can do cross-platform when doing video conferencing. Even people who don't have a Facebook account can join as a participant, by accessing the shared link.
Collaboration of this service is possible, especially WhatsApp, which has updated its application. This can be seen in the icon shortcuts menu in WhatsApp and Messenger Rooms.
Unfortunately this service collaboration is still not in the development stage. If there is no obstacle, service integration will be coming soon in the WhatsApp version 2.2019.6 update for iOS and Android at version 2.20.139, as summarized from WABetainfo.
WhatsApp isn't the only Facebook service that will integrate with Messenger Rooms. Another leak says that Instagram will also get a video call feature that is integrated with Messenger Rooms.
Previously, Facebook CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg said that social media platforms are increasingly needed to connect family and friends with one another. "Our community is increasingly turning to Messenger and WhatsApp to stay connected."
"On Messenger and WhatsApp, there are 700 million accounts participating in voice calls every day and this number has more than doubled since the pandemic started. In some cases, the number of group video calls has increased by more than 10 times,"
The same privacy you expect from a face-to-face conversation (remember them?) Now with up to 8 people. End-to-end encrypted. Update your WhatsApp to try it out. pic.twitter.com/xZUX60mysD

How to Make 8 People WhatsApp Calls at Once
As is known, WhatsApp has increased its group call service to eight people. As for how to use this service, it's still the same as making phone calls on WhatsApp.
The first way, by adding participants in a joint call manually. Via the '+' icon at the top right of the voice call.
Whereas the second way, by making automatic calls through the WhatsApp group. The next step is to just choose group members who will be included in the call group.
WhatsApp group video calls are available for Android and iOS system users. Users should first update WhatsApp to version 2.20.141 for Android and 2.20.50 for iOS.
