Andra Soni-Dimyati's Victory Signs Of A Fragment Of Power In Banten
JAKARTA Political observer at the University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang, Ahmad Chumady assessed that the victory of the Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah pair over Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi in the Banten gubernatorial election marked the occurrence of fragmentation of power in Banten.
According to him, this fragmentation of power can also be seen by the defeat of the candidate for regional head from the Ratu Atut Chosiyah dynasty in the pilbup or pilwakot of various regions in Banten. "This victory (over the Atut dynasty) raises new figures and political actors such as Andra Soni as the locomotive of the new power," he said, Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The man who is familiarly called Memed also believes that the failure of candidates from the Queen Atut dynasty indicates a shift in voter preferences, which is influenced by the national political constellation. He said Andra-Dimyati's victory could not be separated from the support of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) which represented the Prabowo Subianto government.
"When Andra Soni wins, charismatic leadership is delegitimized by collective leadership that will offer modern political dynamics. With the collapse of the Atut dynasty regime, the leadership pattern will definitely experience significant changes," he added.
He revealed that KIM through Andra Soni could have a stronger influence than the Queen Atut dynasty if Andra Soni's political offer to Banten residents for the next five years satisfies the aspirations of Banten residents.
The Atut dynasty finally undermines all elements of power under it. It's up to Andra to be able or not to offer political choices without the burden of his past so that controlling government institutions runs according to the expectations of the Banten public," said Memed.
As is known, regional head candidates from Ratu Atut Chosiyah dynasty fell in Banten. In the Banten gubernatorial election, Airin Rachmi Diany, who was paired with Ade Sumardi, lost to Andra-Dimyati after only earning 2,449,183 or 44.12 percent of the votes compared to 3,102,501 votes or 55.88 percent of the votes.
In the Serang Pilbup, the son of Queen Atut, the pair Andika Hazrumy-Nangan Supriatna, had to admit the superiority of the pair Ratu Rachmatuzakiyah-Najib Hamas. In the Serang Pilwakot, Queen Atut's half-brother, Ratu Ria Maryana, who was paired with Subadri Ushuludin, lost to Budi Rustandi-Nur Agis Aulia.
The only candidate for regional head from the Queen Atut dynasty who won the regional elections in Banten was Atut's nephew, Pilar Saga Ichsan. The pillar, which is the Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) paired with Benyamin Davnie as a candidate for deputy mayor, was able to beat the pair Ruhamaben-Shinta Wahyuni Chairuddin.
