Saudi Arabia Didn't Recognize Israel Before Palestine Merdeka With East Jerusalem Became The Capital

JAKARTA - Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, confirmed that his Kingdom would not recognize Israel without any acknowledgment of the formation of an independent Palestinian state.

This was said by Salman in his speech at the Shura Council on Wednesday, September 18 local time. On that occasion, Salman emphasized that Israel was committing war crimes by occupying the Palestinian people.

"The kingdom will not stop its tireless hard work to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and we emphasize that the Kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without it," Salman said, quoted by Arab News, Thursday, September 19.

Salman then thanked the countries that have recognized Palestine as a country of realization of international legitimacy.

He also urged other countries that have not done so to take similar steps.

Salman said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was calling for regional and international peace by making efforts to achieve a political solution to the crisis in Yemen, Sudan, Libya, and Ukraine.
