Earthquake Papua Mountains, Magnitude 5.1

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) launched an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 rocked the Kobagma area, Papua Mountains, at 09.21 WIB.

BMKG, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 16, noted that the earthquake was centered on land, precisely at coordinates 3.71 degrees South Latitude (LS) and 138.78 degrees East Longitude (BT) or 32 km southwest of Kobagma with a depth of 127 km.

BMKG appealed to the public to be careful of aftershocks that may occur.
