Witness Calls Praka RM Et Al Threaten The Family Of Imam Masykur Through Video

The witness in the follow-up trial of three TNI soldiers accused of the murder of civilian Imam Masykur, Brigadier Toni Widya Wibowo said the defendants had threatened the victim's family via video.

According to Brigadier Toni during the trial at Military Court II-08, the video showed the defendants, namely Praka Riswandi Manik/Praka RM (Paspampres member), Praka Heri Sandi (member of the Directorate of Topography of the Indonesian Army), and Praka Jasmowir (member of the Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command TNI AD) threatened to kill the victim if the family did not give Rp50 million.

"Finally, the victim's mother received the threat of killing the victim if she did not give Rp50 million," said Toni, who is a member of the Banit Opsnal Sub-Directorate of Jatanras from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya unit as well as a recipient of the report related to the case. reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 6.

Brigadier Toni revealed that his party was aware of the threat from the family represented by the victim's uncle through a kidnapping report submitted to the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya on August 14, 2023.

"On August 14, it happened that our team was on picket at the Polda Metro Jaya, we received a report that there was a kidnapping case, so this kidnapping case must be of concern because we have to investigate quickly," he said.

The report, said Brigadier Toni, was immediately followed up by his party by seeking more in-depth information, one of which was by looking for data related to a similar case, namely the kidnapping of the owner of a cosmetic shop.

"So, at the time of the report, we looked for data on all cases that had a similar threat mode, namely the kidnapping of the shop owner," he added.

Previously, for the actions of the three defendants they were charged with multiple articles by the Jakarta Military Oditur.

The articles include the article on premeditated murder (primary indictment), the article on murder together (subsider charges), and the article on persecution to cause death (more subsidiary charges).

The three oditurs also ensnared the defendants under the article of kidnapping which was carried out jointly.

The provisions regarding premeditated murder that are included in the primary indictment refer to Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code. Meanwhile, the subsidiary charges regarding murder together in the subsidiary indictment refer to Article 338 of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code, and the indictment is more subsidiary to persecution which causes death to refer to Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code. For the indictment related to the kidnapping together, referring to Article 328 of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
