World Superbike Welcomes Cremona Circuit In 2024 Season Calendar
JAKARTA - The World Superbike (WSBK) motorcycle racing event welcomes the Cremona Circuit in Italy in the 2024 season calendar by hosting the 10th round next year.
According to WSBK Executive Director, Gregorio Lavilla in an official statement, WSBK proudly introduced the Cremona Circuit in the 2024 World Championships series.
"The addition of Cremona to our calendar marks a significant milestone and we are fully committed to providing fans with a high-quality racing experience," he said as quoted by Antara, November 2.
The Cremona Circuit will bring three series of races, namely WSBK, World Supersport (WSSP), and FIM Women's Motorcycling World Championship for five seasons, from the 2024 to 2028 season.
"This five-year contract is a clear proof of our immovable dedication in line with our efforts to bring this place to the global arena," he added.
Located just south of Milan, the Cremona Circuit will undergo a homologation process and actively prepare WSBK next season by implementing several important modifications and improvements.

There are several modifications made, including improved track layout, high quality coating for tracks, an extension of the 90-meter track length to enrich racing dynamics, expansion of spectator facilities, and modern racing steering facilities.
"We are very happy and excited to face this new big challenge. This will be an opportunity to take important steps to develop and with great satisfaction to bring WSBK back to the 10-year-old Lombardy," said Cremona Circuit CEO Alessandro Canevarolo.
"After several negotiations, we immediately worked to make the necessary changes to organize this World Superbike event. Together with the management, the goal is to create an event that can display the region, territory, and represent Italy with all its values," he added.
