Jokowi No Comment About PDIP Feeling Abandoned Even Though His Families Have Been Given Privileges
GIANYAR - President Jokowi refused to comment on the statement by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who said that PDIP felt abandoned even though Jokowi and his family were given privileges.
"I don't want to comment," said Jokowi at Batu Bulan Market, Gianyar, Bali, Tuesday, October 31.
Jokowi in an interview with journalists talked about having lunch with the three presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto.
"I invite you to work together so that the elections run peacefully," he said.
"There is no slandering each other, no negative campaigns, no bad-mouthing each other, no demeaning each other, but with competing programs, competing ideas, I think that, the people want that," he added.
Meanwhile, regarding the invitation to the three vice presidential candidates (cawapres), Jokowi confirmed that the time would be arranged with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
"Later, the Vice President will invite you," he said.
As previously reported, Hasto said that PDIP was mourning the loss of Jokowi's family. Even though the party bearing the bull symbol has given many privileges.
"We really love and give great privileges to President Jokowi and his family, but we have been left behind because there are still other requests that have the potential to violate the institutions of goodness and the Constitution," said Hasto in his written statement.
"At first we just prayed that this wouldn't happen, but it turned out it really happened," continued Hasto.
Hasto hopes that this dark democracy can pass. Moreover, members and cadres of the party bearing the bull symbol from the start have always guarded President Jokowi tirelessly from the regional head elections (pilkada) to the presidential election (pilpres).
But recently they had to look at the constitutional defiance and legal engineering at the Constitutional Court (MK) to nominate Gibran. "And the people already understand who left whom for the sake of their ambition for power," he concluded.
