Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture Promises Home Prizes For Medal Winners At APG Hangzhou
HANGZHOU - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) RI Muhadjir Effendy promised a permanent gift for athletes who won medals in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games. The house will be given by the government through the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
"I have been in contact with the Secretary General of the Ministry of PUPR, there is quite good news. The Minister of PUPR, Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono, with the approval of Mr. President Joko Widodo, will provide house bonuses for those who get medals," said Coordinating Minister Muhadjir in an official statement from the Indonesian Paralympic Committee (NPC), Saturday.
Muhadjir said that the house was not based on the number of medals obtained, but on an individual basis. In addition, the location of the gift of the house will be adjusted to the domicile of the athlete.
"All athletes who win medals will get a bonus in the form of a residence that is adjusted to the domicile place in question. That is what is certain," said Muhadjir.
In addition, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture said other bonuses would still be taken into account by the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

"For other bonuses, it is still being processed. I also have not received any information on the nominal value, but God willing, there will be a bonus. Later, after returning from Hangzhou, I will immediately take care of it together with the Minister of Youth and Sports for bonus athletes, especially medal winners," said Muhadjir.
He continued, it is not certain what bonuses will be received by the athletes who won the 2022 Asian Para Games Hangzhou medal.
"Hopefully there will be more bonuses. If the official ones, which is clear, from the government, will be taken care of by the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, for housing later from the Ministry of PUPR," said Muhadjir.
Meanwhile, as of Saturday at 11.30 p.m. China time, it was ranked seventh in the standings for the 2022 Asian Para Games medals in Hangzhou, by collecting 26 gold, 24 silver, and 32 bronze.
