AMBON - Preventing divisions in society, the XVI military (Pangdam) Commander Pattimura asked TNI soldiers and the community in his unit area to avoid intolerance. "Be aware of the spread of intolerance, radicalism and terrorism that can affect the views of the four pillars of nationality, namely, Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," said Pangdam XVI Pattimura Mayjend Syafrial in a statement received in Ambon, Saturday.

Dalam agenda kunjungan kerja di Maluku Utara, Pangdam menjelaskan di tengah kecepatannya penyebaran teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi saat ini, paham intoleran dapat dengan mudah tersebar melalui media sosial.

"For that, I invite all of us to be wise in social media, so that security, peace and peace between basudara people are maintained in Maluku and North Maluku," he said.

Pangdam Syafrial reminded the soldiers, Persit and the public to spread positive content that can maintain diversity in Indonesia.

In addition, during his working visit, the Pangdam explained that this visit also aims to get to know and understand the unit and see firsthand the condition of its soldiers in North Maluku.
