Police Investigate Cases Of Pesilat Persecution In Kediri To Death

KEDIRI - Kediri City Police, East Java, investigated the case of mistreatment of a warrior from a silat college in the city until the victim died.

"We have formed a special team consisting of personnel from the Satreskrim, intelligence, Jatanras Polda East Java; jointly investigating this case to reveal the perpetrators," said Kediri City Police Deputy Chief Kompol Dodi Pratama, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7.

Dodi explained that currently his party had examined six witnesses in the persecution case, causing the victim to die. In addition, the police also checked the surveillance camera (CCTV) footage to look for stronger evidence.

The persecution took place on Wednesday (4/10) on Inspeksi Brantas Street, Mojoroto District, Kediri City. The incident began with the victim who came with two of his friends to the Brawijaya Bridge, Kediri City.

At that time, it was suspected that there was friction between the victim's group and other groups. The shaking started from the gaze that led to mocking each other to persecution.

The victim is known as Andan Wisnu Pradana, a student of a private university in Kediri City, who is also a member of a silat college. Andan was seriously injured as a result of the incident.

Victim Andan was in a coma for two days after the incident, until he was declared dead on Saturday morning.

"The alleged perpetrator was four people. From the results of the post-mortem, the injuries to the head caused bleeding. The victim was in a coma for two days and this morning he died; which is certain to be due to a blunt object collision," said Dodi.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Kediri City Branch PSHT, Agung Sediana, visited the Kediri City Police Headquarters, Saturday to ask for information regarding the case that befell his members.

"We asked how far the handling of the case happened to our younger brother. The victim died and we hope that the perpetrator will be caught," said Agung.

He explained that the situation on the ground could get out of control if the perpetrator had not been caught. Therefore, Agung hopes that the case will have a bright spot and the perpetrator will be caught soon. He also appealed to all PSHT members to exercise restraint and not to come to Kediri City.

"Stay restrained, don't come to Kediri City. Help our prayers to uncover cases and perpetrators," said Agung Sediana.
