Salah Tulis Accreditasi, Rektor Undana Sebut Tak Bisa Memperteksigi Ijazah

KUPANG - Chancellor of Nusa Cendana University (Undana) Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Maxs UE Sanam emphasized that he could not reprint the alumnus diploma which was graduated in the period of June and September 2023 due to an error in writing higher education accreditation on diplomas. "The new certificate cannot be printed unless the alumni (brothers and sisters) appeal to the State Administrative Court (PTUN) and the court instructs to reprint diplomas," Maxs said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday 21 September. He stated that this was related to the demands of the alumnus for Undana to reprint a diploma due to an error in writing tertiary accreditation at the diploma 3,956 alumnus which was graduated in 2023. He explained that Undana was responsible for the accreditation number writing error by issuing a rector's decree (SK) regarding the correction of the accreditation number to the diploma which was written 38/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PT/III/2018 should have been written 38/BAN-PT/III/2018 121/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/PT/II/2023. The decision is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 6 of 2022 concerning Diplomas, Competency Certificates, Professional Certificates, Titles, and Equivalence of Other State Higher Education Certificates. Article 17 Paragraph 1 of the Permendikbudristek states, "the certificate of replacement is a certificate of recognition which is considered the same as a diploma, academic transcript, certificate of diploma companion (SKPI), competency certificate, or "Professional certificates".To harmonize the provisions of the regulation, his party will not reprint the diploma attached to the actual university accreditation number, but will issue an Undana Chancellor's Decree regarding the correction of the accreditation number on the diploma. He said the diploma that had been issued was a valid document and could be used properly. The mistake in writing the university's accreditation number will not affect the work application process and it will helping alumnus who need mediation in accordance with the demands of the place where the person concerned will work or continue his studies to a higher level. He also apologized for the mistakes that occurred because of pure negligence from the Undana. "We will investigate in depth the negligence and the BAP (Examination Report) will be carried out on the academic department which handles student administration matters," he said.

Deputy Chancellor for Academics, Undana Annytha IR Detha, said that the alumnus diploma will still apply and a rector's decree on higher education accreditation information will be issued to replace the accreditation number on the diploma. "The National Certificate Number (PIN) has no problems because it is from the Directorate General of Higher Education, only the higher education accreditation number will be replaced with the rector's Decree," he said.
