Cerka Iwan's Story In Padang: Personal Pocket Rochek, Time And Personnel Establish PAUD To Keep Children's Dreams Unable

PADANG - Walking along an alley two meters wide from the main road of Rawang Jondul Village, Padang City, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), will see a semi-permanent building located separate from other residents' houses. The blue nuances blanketed the part of the building with board walls, giving a calm, friendly, and friendly impression to guests who came.It is in this simple house that the establishment of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Hope Mother, where children from poor families have grown their dreams in the last three years. The room is indeed not as wide or as luxurious as the well-known PAUD in Padang City. However, all limitations cannot be underestimated. Because no one can measure how far the ideals are in it.In the last three years, the simple room has played an important role in the world of education, namely as a place for children to go to school for free.Children in the institution were taught many things, ranging from singing, drawing, introducing letters and numbers, reading, writing, and many other activities. Activities are held every Monday to Wednesday from 08.00 WIB-10.30 WIB.PAUD hopes that Mother is a kindergarten-level school born from the hands of a TNI member named Iwan Agus Purwantoro. His rank is the head Sergeant (serka). He is an active TNI soldier who now carries out his duties as a Village Development Officer (Babinsa) Koramil 03/Padang Selatan. The man who is familiarly called Iwan is willing to sacrifice his time, energy, and personal expenses to establish a free PAUD which is initiated. The reason is noble, so that children from poor families can go to school like other children in general.Iwan as the son of the region knows the Rawang area well. His love for his hometown does not just fade, even though he has served in people's areas for a long time.Governmently Rawang is included in the District of South Padang, Padang City. His position is near the sea and Bayur Bayur Bay port is famous. As a babinsa, he also often spends a lot of time in the community, every day his eyes see the condition of the residents in his fostered village. From seeing residents who have a weak economy, limited costs, finally Iwan has a call to establish a free PAUD independently.Everything Iwan prepared himself, starting from building construction, to PAUD, was officially launched in March 2020.The 49-year-old man was never prestige even though he had to be a "building carpentry" in about four months. The basis that strengthens it is only one, namely sincerity. The humble figure realizes that life is not only in the world. Therefore, the intention to establish PAUD is also a preparation for provision in the hereafter.Initially, he collected the necessary materials, such as wood, boards, nails, and others. Then start working little by little, not infrequently until late at night."I also collect wood or aid boards from other parties for use, if the conditions are still good and appropriate, I will use them," explained Iwan when met by ANTARA at the PAUD location.Fortunately, the land used was customary customary land from the Iwans, namely the Tanjung Tribe, so he did not need to buy or rent land to establish PAUD.Jumila's husband did not deny that all the processes he has gone through so far have stolen his time with his family at home. Because every morning until the afternoon he served as a babinsa, then in the afternoon he started working on buildings, including on holidays.Fortunately, Jumilah's wife and her three children are understanding and always support what Iwan is doing."Iwan is grateful, as a soldier's wife, Jumilah understands and helps a lot, while his children are given the understanding that as a TNI family they have a responsibility to the community," he said. After the construction was completed, Iwan then looked for knowledgeable and noble people who were willing to become teachers for the children without being paid. Long story short, a small structure was formed that became Iwan's PAUD's "breathing", namely one school principal and three teachers. The principals are Jumilah, while the three teachers are Susilawati, Maria Monica, and Jummy Hartati. The four of them collaborated with each other to keep PAUD's heart rate beating, based on sincerity and sincerity.Iwan straightforwardly said that he deliberately founded PAUD in order to improve the quality of human resources (HR), preparing future generations who are ready to compete in the modern era.He always said that what is being made today is to create a smart and accomplished next generation.Every now and then Iwan also enters the classroom to teach children lessons directly, be it motivation, national insight, or his experience of being a soldier since 1995.When asked if he didn't feel tired, Iwan kept quiet for a moment, then shook his head. He then gave a patriotic answer.Recognized as humans, of course, they have experienced fatigue, but as a soldier and Babinsa TNI, all of this is a responsibility. "That's what strengthens me," he said.Over time, the existence of PAUD continues to grow. The student, who initially only five people this year, has become 11 people. On average they all come from poor families, their parents work as workers, coolies, and others.Tuah dari PAUD itu untuk membantu keluarga yang tidak mampu benar adanya, bukan sekadar konsep atau teres. Hal itu diakui langsung oleh salah orang tua tua student bernama Masilina Waruwu. The existence of free schools from PAUD eases the burden of spending people's families in sending children to school. If there is no PAUD, Masilina's third daughter may not get early childhood education. Because at the same time the other two children were also in elementary school (SD).She is just a housewife who is not working, while her husband works as a casual daily worker whose income is mediocre.Masilina Waruwu also shared that this is the second time she has brought her child into PAUD, which was founded by the babinsa. The first child has graduated and is now in elementary school. As a parent, he assessed that the family system in PAUD also felt strong. The relationship between teachers and parents is well established, and all children are treated equally, regardless of ethnicity or religion. In the end, Serka Iwan has started his inspiring service. In the future his students will become great people, and he watched it with a smile of satisfaction.Moving On HarmonyIn addition to establishing a free PAUD, Serka Iwan also mobilized various activities in the local area, ranging from art studios, anti-drug villages, KB villages, to Pancasila villages. In various activities, Iwan never limits or distinguishes a person based on ethnicity, religion, or race.On the contrary, he gave the widest possible space to all parties to mingle with each other. For example, in the art studio, he invites his members to present and preserve their respective cultural arts.At least now the number of members of the studio is 25 young people, they can still be united and respect each other in the midst of differences.Dikotaya Rawang as Kampung Pancasila is a matter of pride for all residents in the local village who must be maintained, and Serka Iwan is ready to stand at the forefront.
